Privacy Policy
Privacy policy for World Ranking Forum: what we collect and why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the control you have.
The short version
- We only collect what you type into our forms, plus basic technical data any website receives.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t show advertising.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by [Company legal name], [registered address] (“World Ranking Forum”, “we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at hello@worldrankingforum.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Category alerts: your work email address, when you ask to be notified that a directory category has opened.
- Agency submissions: agency name, website, work email, main category, team size, LinkedIn page and links to public work.
- Contact messages: your name, work email, the reason for contact and your message.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page and time of visit. Our hosting provider records these to keep the site secure and working.
- Fonts: our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy first, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
3. How we use it
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis (where GDPR applies) |
|---|---|---|
| Sending category-launch alerts you asked for | Consent | |
| Reviewing and verifying agency submissions | Submission details | Legitimate interests (running an accurate directory) |
| Answering your messages and correction requests | Contact details, message | Legitimate interests |
| Keeping the site secure and working | Server logs | Legitimate interests |
| Meeting legal obligations | Any of the above, as required | Legal obligation |
We never use your data to influence an agency’s rank, and we never sell or rent personal data.
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers who host the site, store form submissions and send email on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of your data. [List providers, e.g. hosting company, email service]
- Authorities when the law requires it.
Information an agency submits for its public profile (such as agency name, website and verified work) will be published when its category opens. Contact emails are never published.
5. How long we keep it
- Category alert emails: until the alert is sent and you don’t opt in to further updates, or until you unsubscribe.
- Agency submissions: for as long as the agency is listed, plus 12 months after removal for our records.
- Contact messages: up to 24 months.
- Server logs: according to our host’s standard retention, typically no more than 90 days.
